We are the Drumma Queens, a women's percussion ensemble that creates joyful noise and positive, healing vibrations wherever and whenever we perform. Under the artistic direction of Sue Landers and in consultation with Master drummer Issa Coulibaly, we drum, sing, dance, and tell stories that create a memorable experience for our audiences.
"truly sensational" James F. David
"Thank you for such a magical evening. You take your listeners on a beautiful journey to West Africa." Joan Kapp
"The Drumma Queens’ rhythms add such life force to everything." Jane Lowey
"Everyone in the audience left {the performance} with a smile on their face." Shawn Dahlstrom
The Drumma Queens originated from a year-long drumming journey undertaken by members of the women's chorus, Common Voices, in the Fall of 2012. From this enriching experience, the core of the Drumma Queens was established. The two groups maintain a strong sisterly connection, frequently collaborating on concerts and celebrating their identity as the queens of the cape.

The Drumma Queens, known for their captivating performances, entertain at various community events, such as the annual Harwichport Stroll, the Cape Cod Women's Festival at Payomet, and the Summer Music Series at the Cape Cod Covenant Church. We also performed at Brewster's Juneteenth Celebration and the Thacher Hall Concert Series in Yarmouthport. Additionally, we have performed at Chatham First Night and at the Center for the Spiritual Journey in Chatham, at Brewster's Conservation Day. As the Drumma queens of Cape Cod, we are delighted to play at all kinds of special occasions, celebrations, and fundraisers.

In 2025, the Drumma Queens, known for their vibrant performances, took part in community events such as the annual Harwichport Stroll, the Lower Cape Pride Parade, the Cape Cod Women's Music Festival at Payomet, First Night Chatham, and various fundraising events, weddings, birthday parties, and other special occasions throughout the queenscape.
Sue and Bonnie, the drum queens, are rocking it in concert as the ultimate drumma duo in Brewster on 7/27/25, bringing their queens cape style to the stage.
Drumma and the queens of the drum will showcase their talents in Brewster on 7/27/25, bringing the energy of queens cape to the stage.
